About this game
Match Three is the lithappy take on the classic gem swapper. You get a 6 by 8 board filled with six pastel gems and 25 swaps to make the highest score you can. Tap one gem, tap an adjacent gem to swap them; if the swap lines up three or more matching gems in a row or column, the line clears, points come in, and gravity pulls the gems above down to fill the gaps. New gems drop from the top, and if those new pieces happen to form another match, the cascade chains on its own for bigger payouts. Swaps that produce no match are reverted and cost nothing - so the only real penalty is committing to a move that does nothing useful. Plan your 25 moves to maximise chains, and watch the cascade animation reward your patience.
Tips & tricks
- Look for accidental L or T shapes - swapping the corner gem often clears two lines at once.
- When two cascades are equal, pick the one that drops more new gems from the top - new gems are surprise chains.
- Save your last few moves for board edges where new gems mix in unpredictably.
- If no obvious match exists, scan column tops - vertical setups are easier to plan than horizontal ones.
- Don't waste a swap to test. If you can't see the match, the move probably reverts.
