About this game
Swing Hook is the lithappy take on the swing-and-release endless runner. Your character flies forward through a pastel sky studded with tiny golden anchor points. Press and hold to fire a grapple line - it locks onto the nearest anchor in front of you, the rope goes taut, and the world becomes a fixed-length pendulum with gravity doing all the dramatic work. Time your release at the bottom of the swing for maximum forward speed; release too early and you bleed momentum, too late and you arc back down toward the abyss. Fall below the danger line and the run ends. Distance is your score, your personal best is saved between sessions, and the anchor points are different every time. A satisfying rhythm game disguised as physics, perfect for the moment between two things.
Tips & tricks
- Release at the lowest point of the swing - that is when your velocity is most forward.
- Hooks farther away give you a wider, faster arc. Hooks close to you barely swing at all.
- If you sense a fall, you can hook again mid-air - just press, the line finds the nearest anchor.
- Long swings cost altitude; short swings cost time. Mix them to match the anchor pattern.
- Watch two anchors ahead - your eyes need them on the radar before your finger commits.
