About this game
Tic Tac Toe is the timeless three-in-a-row puzzle that every kid learns and almost no one stops playing. Our lithappy edition turns the classic into a quick mental warm-up with three distinct AI personalities and a small pink-and-blue aesthetic. You always play X and move first; the AI plays O and responds within a heartbeat. On Easy the AI moves entirely at random, so you can rack up a streak in seconds. On Medium it plays the optimal move seven times out of ten and slips up the rest, which gives you a real fight without making the game feel scripted. On Hard the AI runs a complete minimax search of every possible position - it is mathematically unbeatable, so your goal becomes forcing a draw rather than winning. Your current win streak and personal best are tracked across sessions, so finishing a round on Easy still has stakes. A single match is over in well under a minute, making this a perfect breath between heavier tasks.
Tips & tricks
- Take the centre square whenever it is your first move - it touches the most winning lines.
- On Hard the AI never loses; aim for a draw and stop a fork rather than chasing a win.
- When you have two in a row, the AI must block - use those forced moves to set up a fork.
- A fork (two threats at once) is the only way to beat a less-than-perfect AI. Practice spotting them.
- Streaks count across all difficulties, so if you want a big number on Best, ride the Easy AI for a while.
