About this game
Color Sort is a quiet, satisfying water-sorting puzzle built for the moments when you want something to do with your hands without anything stressful happening. Each level gives you a handful of glass tubes, every tube holds up to four layers of brightly coloured liquid, and the colours start out completely jumbled. Two extra empty tubes act as your workspace. Tap a tube to pick it up, tap another to pour - but only into an empty tube or one whose top layer matches. The pour will move every contiguous layer of that colour in one go. You can undo any number of moves, restart a level whenever you like, and the game remembers your level progress in your browser so you can put it down and come back tomorrow. Thirty hand-tuned levels gradually ramp up from three colours to eight, and every level is solvable - there is no fail state, only the satisfying click of liquids snapping into a perfect column. Pure relaxation, no timer pressure, no advertising mid-puzzle.
Tips & tricks
- Always look for moves that empty a tube completely - free tubes are your most valuable resource.
- Don't pour just because you can; merging two short stacks of the same colour is often wasted unless it frees a tube.
- Plan two moves ahead. Many positions require you to temporarily split a colour to get the right one on top.
- Use the undo button freely - this game is about thinking, not about punishing mistakes.
- If you feel stuck, restart the level - the layout is deterministic per level, so a fresh look at the same board often reveals the trick.
